5 Months Old

Baby Charlotte is 5 months old! She has the sweetest little disposition and is a very content baby. Not a ton has changed since her 4 month post. Our biggest challenge with her is sleeping through the night. We finally moved her from the rock n play to the crib. She sleeps on her tummy unswaddled. We are in the midst of letting her cry it out right now. Night 1 wasn't too terrible. I coped with the crying by eating 5 oreos throughout the night...haha! It was breaking my heart to hear her cry but I know it's for the better for all of us! She takes a two hour morning nap and another afternoon nap for an hour or two. She will usually take a cat nap from 4-4:30 in my arms, which is my favorite part of the day!

She's still takes a 5 oz. breast milk bottle every 3 hrs. during the day and doesn't seem to like rice cereal or oatmeal quite yet so I'm not pushing it. 

 Despite the terrified look on her face, she ADORES William and always smiles when he enters the room. She also started laughing over the past month!

She loves kicking her legs, jumping in her jumperoo, squealing, blowing raspberries, and being held. She's a great car passenger and doesn't mind her car seat. She still loves Ms. Rita, the lady that keeps her 3 days/week while I'm at work. I know I'm going to jinx myself but I'm extremely thankful that she hasn't been sick yet, especially since she is in daycare! Working with children with cancer makes me so very thankful for my healthy children. 

William wanted to hold her by the neck in all the pics. LOL. Still no sign of a tooth but she's drooling a ton. Sweet baby Charlotte, you've brought so much sweetness to our lives. We love you!!!

Ann Torrence Blount

My beautiful niece, Ann Torrence, arrived on Sunday July 5th after a long labor for my brave, resilient sister! To say that I'm in love and absolutely smitten with her is an understatement. Aunt Caca is going to spoil this sweet girl rotten!

 Thankfully Granny had a sense of humor during this photo session because it was anything but funny, due to William's demon like mood. It was frightening.
