We had the most wonderful Thanksgiving with Grant's family at his mom's lake house in Corsicana, TX. We landed in Dallas around 9pm the night before Thanksgiving Day and Grant's brother, Greg, picked us up from the airport and we headed south for the hour and a half drive. A very exciting part of our trip was meeting our new niece, Finley Claire Davis, who is just 8 weeks old. She is the sweetest baby I've ever been around. Grant and I woke up at the crack of dawn Thursday morning because we couldn't wait to get our hands on baby Finley..... and of course see "little" Payton too!

Payton is growing up SO fast and is such a great big sister! Watching her interact with Finley was one of the sweetest things I've ever seen. She loves her baby sister so much. Dana and Greg told her that I had a baby in my stomach just like Dana did with Finley, so "Papes" was very curious about her new baby cousin and even asked if she could give him kisses - so sweet! However, when we were leaving I asked her if I should bring our baby next time we come to Texas or leave him in Alabama, and she replied, "Leave him at home in albama." She is having a little trouble saying Alabama.....Priceless.
Sic' Em Bears!!!
Happy baby Finley!
Grant's mom put together the adorable Thanksgiving pumpkin centerpiece. This was my first Thanksgiving with the Davis family and I have to admit that the Shaw/Torrence family feast has some tough competition with the Davis family Thanksgiving dinner.

Payton loves to give her "baby sis-tuhr" lots and lots and lots of smooches :)
Uncle Grant is so funny!
Loving on Finley early one morning!
Thanksgiving Day also happened to be Dana's birthday, so we celebrated that evening with MORE dessert.....FUNFETTI CAKE!
Dana and her precious girls
Morning love from big sister, Payton.
Watching her new favorite movie, The Polar Express. It's amazing how technologically savvy this 2 yr old is!
On Saturday, we went to a Christmas tree farm near Tyler, TX so Greg and Dana could cut down their family Christmas tree. Payton wasn't too interested in the trees, BUT had a blast on all of the rides! It rained pretty heavily the night before, so it was pretty muddy out which is why Payton and I have grocery bags on our feet in the pic below :) .

Having a little meltdown because she wanted to change hayride carts after we started moving.
We were both so sad to leave on Sunday! It's hard living so far away from Grant's side of the family, especially with the girls being so young and changing SO much each day. We are so in love with our precious nieces and can't wait for our little boy to meet his big girl cousins!
