A Davis Christmas

Friday night, Grant and I headed to the Boy Scout Christmas Tree lot in Vestavia Hills to pick out our tree. This is the 3rd year we've gotten our tree from there, but Grant says we are going to a Christmas tree farm and cutting down our own tree next year because William will be here! We'll see if that happens. Getting the tree in the stand was a bit of an event Friday evening but we Grant managed to get it secured before we went to bed. Saturday morning, I was up at the crack of dawn ready to finish up the lights and put the ornaments on. Before getting started, I noticed the tree was leaning a bit and of course I started nagging Grant about fixing it but he said it was fine.  So, after the tree was fully decorated and each ornament was in the perfect spot, Grant suggested we try to straighten out the tree- EEK! Needless to say, the tree fell over. There were some words exchanged and an hour later, the tree was back in the stand and still LEANING....so we just let it be.  In an effort to keep it real on the blog, here is an unedited picture of the Davis family tree this year:

I couldn't help but use our Mac's sophisticated editing program to straighten out the tree for a couple of pics :)

My favorite Christmas ornament on our tree. I hope William is as cute as his daddy :)

We started collecting these carolers our first Christmas. My mom gives us one each year.
On Saturday, we went over to the Whittington's house (duh!) to watch a little football and hang out with my other little sis, Hayden. I was pretty wiped out by the time we got over there from waking up at 5am and dealing with the tree drama all morning, but it was really fun! Ragan's Christmas decorations put mine to shame but I didn't expect anything else. Check out Rag's blog.
LOVE these girls so much!

Today I am 20 weeks along in my pregnancy - half way there! I am very excited to reach this milestone with a healthy first 20 weeks. Besides some occasional fatigue and mood swings (sorry Grant), I have loved every minute of being pregnant. Ask me in 10 weeks if I still feel this way! Without further adieu, here is the bump at 20 weeks:

Merry Christmas, Y'all!
