Christmas Day

We travelled to Dallas to spend Christmas Day with William's granddaddy's family. As I've mentioned in previous posts, William is named after his granddaddy, William Ronald Davis. Ever since I met Grant, I've always loved hearing stories about his dad, "Ron," and his siblings because they are all SO close. Grant's dad has 4 sisters and 1 brother. All of the sisters live near the Dallas area so they get together frequently with their children and grandchildren. The first time I met them was right after Grant's dad passed away, and they all made me feel so comfortable. I remember thinking to myself, "Family is really important to the Davis clan." Coming from someone who is extremely close to their family, this was a very important quality I wanted in a husband. Enough of the rambling....as I said, we went to Dallas to Grant's Aunt Karen's and Uncle Bob's house for a Christmas lunch, and boy did we have a delicious spread!

This was their first time to meet William and I must admit, I did a terrible job of taking pictures. It also started SNOWING right as we arrived in Dallas. It was so beautiful and never in a million years did I expect it to snow on Christmas Day! We really enjoyed seeing everyone and I hope we can all get together again soon!

The snow was really coning down when we arrived at Karen and Bob's house! It was so beautiful!

I'm pretty sure William thought I was absolutely crazy for keeping him outside in the freezing snow.

 Winter wonderland
William was passed around the entire time we were there!
This little playground is right next to their house, basically in their back yard. Isn't it every child's dream to grow up next to a little park like this?!

 So beautiful

We got back to Granny's house Christmas night around 6pm just in time to feed William, put him in his jammies, snap one more round of Christmas pics and tuck him in for bed.

We couldn't have dreamed of a better 1st Christmas for our precious boy! Grant and I look forward to sharing the true meaning of Christmas with William as he gets older.

"For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6
