William's 2nd Birthday Party

We celebrated William's second birthday this past weekend at Overton Park. Since he's been really into Elmo over the past year we decided to go with an Elmo themed party! We REALLY wanted Elmo to make an appearance at the party, but he was just too expensive busy to make it. I ordered the invitation digital file off Etsy and then we printed them ourselves.

After a week of monsoons and terrible flooding, the weather could not have been more perfect. We didn't have a back-up rain plan so I'm very thankful for the sunshine!

I took the invitation to the bakery so they could pull in some of the invitation details with the cupcakes. William's cupcake was the Elmo one. I love a good themed party :)

It was a little windy so the balloons didn't quite cooperate. The Elmo pails were party favors for the kids.

This year was even more fun than William's 1st birthday party because he was so excited and knew the party was for him. Grant and I are not huge birthday celebrators but now that we have a child, it's so much fun!

He wanted to dive into the cupcakes right when he got there. He didn't understand the whole 'waiting until everybody sings' concept.

He was so excited to see sweet Catherine!

Busted sticking his finger in icing and having a lick!

Sweet baby Lula looks JUST like her mommy as a baby.
The always smiling Quinn Nelson :)
William thought we were catching his cupcake on fire on purpose. He said, "no!!, no!!, no!!" when we lit the candles and went straight in for a bite almost catching himself and the table on fire!

 He loved his "cutcake."

William and Lily (our neighbor and his babysitter). We love Lily!!!
William with his buddies (Graham, Hayes, Hannah, and Ann Parker) Hannah and AP got cut out of the pic :(
William and Mae Mae, our neighbor and his favorite girl!

The rest of these amazing pictures are from Kat's camera! SO thankful she had it with her and was willing to snap these!

Looking a little rough...this was at the end of the party. We were all worn out!

That chocolate chip cookie in his hand was not supposed to be given to him. Long story short...I think that pushed him over the edge and is the culprit for his vomiting Saturday night! Our poor 12 year old babysitter had to call us to come home from dinner early.
He's going through a major obsession with juice boxes.
 Someone needs a haircut AGAIN!

 We love sweet Styles!!

Uncle Doug let the Elmo balloon go. William said "get down."

My favorite pic of the day! Thank you Kat!
He loves his Birdie...
and Juju!!

We came home and opened gifts after the party! He got so many wonderful gifts. I hid most of them to pull out for a rainy day ;)
Since his party, he loves talking about everyone that was there and the fun he had. Here he is telling Grant all about it :)
