4 Months Old

Our baby girl is 4 months old! I feel like she's grown up so much over the past month! Time needs to SLOW down. Once she got over her late afternoon/evening crying spells around 3 months, she has been a dream baby besides her sleeping!! We are realizing how spoiled we were with William's excellent sleeping habits. We put Charlotte to bed at 6:30 and she usually wakes up around 11, 2, and 5! She is such a sweet, easy going baby so it's impossible to get frustrated with her night wakings, although we'd love some more sleep :) She usually takes a 1-2 hr. nap in morning, 1-2 hr. nap in the afternoon, and a 30 min. cat nap in the evening before we put her to bed.

The verdict is still out on who she looks like, but I see a LOT of William in these pictures, especially the shape of her head and the eyes.

4 Month Stats:
Weight: 15 lbs. 1 oz. (75th percentile)
Height: 26 inches (97th percentile)
Head circumference: 16 inches (50th percentile)

She had an excellent check-up with the pediatrician. She had to get 4 shots which broke my heart but she handled them like a champ with no side effects.

William was IN the crib with her while I was trying to take these pictures, so it was impossible to get some good ones.

She's still drinking 5 ounces of breast milk every 3-4 hours, and I'm still a dairy cow pumping around the clock :) I was a little worried about being able to keep up with pumping with 2 children, but we've made it work. Grant's least favorite phrase is "I need to pump." Thankfully, Children's Hospital has an amazing lactation center so it's easy for me to pump at work.

Her newest trick is rolling from her tummy to her back. She did it for the first time around 3.5 months. I had to be super quick taking these pics because she immediately rolls to her back when placed on her tummy. She's finally tolerating tummy time.

She recently started squealing at the top of her lungs. It's hilarious because you can tell she's very surprised and impressed with herself every time she does it. She loves to coo with Mommy and William, but she makes Daddy work really hard to chat with her :)
William was literally diving over her head during these pictures. She loves him! I'm thinking she may get her first tooth sooner than William did. Her hands are constantly in her mouth and she drools a ton.

She has adjusted really well to daycare and smiles at Ms. Rita, the lady who keeps her, when we drop her off. Ms. Rita has been a huge blessing to us and going back to work has been a much easier transition with Charlotte than it was with William.
Charlotte, it's been a wonderful 4 months with you. You bring so much sweetness, love, and laughter to our lives.
