6 Months Old

Charlotte is 6 months old! In some ways I can't believe she is already half a year old and in other ways it seems like she's been a part of our family forever. This past month has been the most fun yet! Her personality has come out in full force and she is smiling and giggling most of the time. She still smiles and laughs at William more than anyone else, which he eats up! She rarely cries and is generally a very easy-going, happy baby. I didn't take 6 month pictures in her room because she had professional photos made two days ago in her christening gown. I'll be back with those pictures soon :)

Right when she turned 5 months old, we decided it was TIME for her to sleep through the night so we let her cry it out for 5 nights and now she's sleeping 6:30pm -4am most nights. We feed her at 4 and she goes back down until 6:30ish. So thankful we are finally getting some rest around here. She's drinking 6 ounces of breast milk every 3-4 hrs. during the day, and I'm still her dairy cow. She still doesn't like baby food and I'll admit I've been pretty lazy with consistently trying it with her. I've tried banana oatmeal, sweet potatoes (twice), and apples (once). She spits it all out.

Her fine motor skills have really taken off this past month. She loves having something in her hands at all times. She also likes to grab her feet, which is one of my favorite baby milestones :) She doesn't really enjoy sitting in her bouncer anymore and doesn't love her jumperoo either. Princess would rather be held and she gets her way 99% of the time. She's not sitting up yet but I think she will master that trick soon.

She's drooling a ton but we don't see any sign of a tooth! William had 1 tooth by 6 months. She still spits up a good bit and I'm really hoping we will turn a corner soon with that. She loves to babble and blow bubbles. Her and Daddy Steve had fun making silly noises at the lake this past weekend.

Height: 27.5 inches (90th percentile)

Head Circumference: (50th percentile)
