18 Months Old!

Our sweet baby Charlotte is 18 months old today! It is truly hard to imagine life without this precious girl in our family. She loves her Mommy, Daddy, and William fiercely and is quick to give kisses and tight hugs! My favorite part of the day is getting her out of the crib in the morning. She must grab all of her blankets and water cup and then she lays her head on my shoulder and giggles while I walk to the kitchen to get her breakfast and "book" aka 'milk.' She is such a snuggle bug!

May I always remember her sweet angelic face as we enter toddlerhood ;)

 Her sweet giggles OWN me.

I'll try to back-track since her 12 month post. She FINALLY started consistently sleeping through the night at 12 months. I can't believe we let that madness go on for an entire year. She dropped her nighttime milk bottle around 13 months. She walked at 14 months and hasn't stopped moving since!

Similar to her brother, she climbs on anything and everything. Her favorite thing to do is gather all of her blankets, take them to the coffee table, crawl on the coffee table, and then give us a smirk like "I know I shouldn't be standing on the table." Grant popped her on the hand the other day trying to teach her not to climb and she was devastated! I have never seen a more sad, pitiful face than hers when she glared at Grant like "I can't believe you just did that to me." I'm pretty sure it broke Daddy's heart too.

Always moving, loves hairbrushes (although she has very little hair), and jewelry!

She also loves to wear shoes. She will randomly find shoes around the house and bring them to us requesting they be put on.

Charlotte usually goes to bed around 6:30pm and sleeps until 6:30am. She is a pretty good eater. She will still eat any baby food pouch, loves all fruit, spaghetti, tacos, peanut butter, and chicken. So far, she will only eat veggies from the pouches but we aren't rocking that boat. She is just now starting to attempt to feed herself with a soon and she makes a huge mess but refuses to let us help her. I try and pick my battles! She takes one nap a day from 12-2pm. I wish she would stretch that nap a little longer but that's okay :)

She is extremely curious and cautious/particular about many things. In the picture below, she literally would not step over that crack. She eventually started crying until I picked her up and moved her to a different section of the driveway. She's a funny little girl :)

Since William has to attend 4K preschool 5 days/week, Charlotte and I enjoy our Tues/Thurs. mornings together. On Tuesdays, we go to story-time at the library and she loves it! We also do a music class on Wednesday night at church while William is in choir. It's so much fun experiencing these things with Charlotte because William and I loved going to music class when he was a baby/toddler.

I'm pretty sure she has her Mommy's legs and knees. Sorry Charbaby.

Charlotte is just now beginning to say words other than mama, dada, and bubba. Her most recent work is 'yuck' which she pronounces "guck." It's pretty hilarious when she says it. She makes a disgusted look on her face and says "guck." She can make animal noises for a dog, cow, cat, bear, and fish. She loves to growl...."raaahhhhrrr." She definitely keeps us all laughing!! She has lots of hilarious facial expressions!

She still doesn't have much hair at all which is perfectly fine by me because it makes her look more "babyish."

There is nothing quite like seeing your children develop a special bond. Although they are beginning to "fight", William cannot wait for Charlotte to wake up each morning so he can give hugs. She adores her big brother too!

She's done wonderful at TCDC since starting in May and she is absolutely smitten with Ms. Rose, her teacher. When I pick her up in the afternoon, she lays her head on Rose's shoulder, blows her a kiss and then waves bye-bye. It definitely eases my momma heart knowing she is happy and well-loved at school. She is very hooked on her "bankies" and takes them everywhere! She chews on them and lets them hang out of her mouth while she's doing activities. She drags her blanket all around school.

Oh my dainty, sweet, scrumptious Charlotte, you are so loved and we are pretty much obsessed with everything about you.
