A Wonderful Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend enjoying this beautiful weather! Friday night we ordered pizza from our favorite pizza joint, Salvatores in Hoover. On Saturday we car shopped ALL day, which is quite an overwhelming process. Two weeks ago Grant was hit by a 102 year old lady and his truck is totaled. We are still shocked that the lady was insured. I am so thankful that everybody involved in the accident is okay. Needless to say, we hadn't thought about purchasing a car anytime soon, but things don't always happen according to my OCD timelines :) Even though car shopping is not the most enjoyable activity, I really enjoyed spending quality time with Grant driving all over Birmingham to different dealerships. He was much more relaxed than I had anticipated, which made for a much better day. We ended our day by whipping up some good ole' bacon, eggs and pancakes and watching one of my favorite movies, The Notebook.

After church today we met Julie, Shipley, Lee and Taylor for lunch at Zoe's. Julie, Lee, and I always have fun talking about the latest frustration we have with our significant other, while they drop their heads and just laugh. If we gave the boys a chance to talk, I'm sure they could go on for hours about what it takes to date/marry a Torrence lady. After lunch we decided to take advantage of the warmer weather and play tennis. We spent more time laughing on the tennis court than actually hitting the ball but we had a blast! Lee didn't care much about playing tennis, so in true Lee-Lee style she soaked up the sun while reading gossip magazines.

To top off our fun weekend, Grant grilled steaks and made homemade mashed potatoes for dinner. I was in charge of sticking the broccoli in the boiling water, which I surprisingly managed to do! We so loved spending time with Julie, Lee, Shipley, and Taylor. I couldn't pick better boyfriends for two of my very favorite girls!
