4 Month Stats

William had his 4 month check up today, which involved the second round of shots. He got 4 shots in his chunky thighs and had one oral vaccine. He didn't cry as hard as he did when he was 2 months old, but it still made me tear up when he started crying and looked at me with those desperate eyes like, "Mommy, why did you let this happen?" Just awful. I snapped these pics tonight before bedtime. There's nothing better than a clean baby slathered in Johnson's baby lotion with jammies on!

At 4 months, he weighs 18 lbs. 10 oz. (97th %ile), 26 inches (just under the 90th %ile), and his head circumference was in the 90th %ile as well. His pediatrician said he looks great!
The exciting news is that his pediatrician told me to start giving him rice cereal for a week and then we can try REAL baby food. I'm excited about this new chapter in William's diet...haha! I'm thinking our big boy will LOVE some real food. I'm going to start with veggies - I loved me some spinach as a baby so maybe he will to.
This child still loves his little hands as you can tell by these pictures. Since I did the 4 month post, he has started squealing and really practicing using his vocal cords with all sorts of funny sounds. He gets so excited when he squeals and he's starting to imitate noises we make.
And this is what William thinks about a 7pm bedtime. As always, he wins. It's currently 8:15 and he's still AWAKE.
