24 Months Old

Well, this is my last monthly post for William! I'm a little relieved that I won't have my OCD pressure looming over my head each month to jot down new milestones :) It's been a big month full of firsts around here, many of which were a little scary. William was stung by a hornet IN THE MOUTH, swallowed a PENNY, bruised the area under his eye during a tantrum (I opened his nutri-grain bar the wrong way), and sliced his cheek with a straw. Maybe this was a little foreshadowing of what the next year will  look like...I sure hope not! We had plenty of fun times too! William just likes to keep things exciting around our house :) I'm pretty sure I aged 10 years over this past month!!

We found out some very exciting news this month - William will be going to school at our church starting June 1st. This was not an easy decision for us because we absolutely love his current daycare. It's just too far out of the way and we really want William in a church environment. We are a little nervous about the transition but know that William will adjust just fine. I plan on taking him on Tuesday mornings for the next couple of weeks for visits to get him acquainted with the teachers and new environment.
William is really talking a lot lately. He is able to express his needs to us with no problem. Many people still don't understand him but he's getting there. We never know what's going to come out of his mouth! Tonight, when he was in the bath he started saying, "oh my goodness!" I guess I say that a lot :)

Post hornet sting in the mouth.  Clearly he was not phased one bit and barely even cried when it happened. He also got stung on his pinky finger :(
We had a blast at our Sunday school Easter party!
Sliced face. He's sporting a nice scar from that straw incident.

This was him after he left the pediatrician from having an X-ray to see exactly where the penny was located. He loved getting a picture taken of his belly. He wasn't scared or phased by it at all. Notice the bruise under his eye and scrape on cheek. I was afraid the pediatrician was going to call DHR on me.
 School pictures :)
These two pictures were taken within 1 minute of each other. Traveling with a toddler is always an adventure :)

 The birthday boy!!!

We took William out to Barber Motorsports Park for the races on Saturday. He was in heaven and was so amazed! I was fretting the whole time about him going deaf and getting sunburned. Although, I won't be documenting every little milestone, I'll still be periodically doing William updates!
