I'm currently 14w4d. We found out I was pregnant on Thursday July 17 and I started feeling nauseated that Saturday the 19th and it continued until I was 13 weeks pregnant. I never had any real nausea with William so that was definitely new. The nausea was usually worse in the morning so I took Zofran mid-morning, when necessary, and that helped a ton. I'm glad that's a thing of the past!
I had my first appointment on Friday August 8th and the baby was measuring 7w1d which was exactly what I expected. I was extremely nervous prior to the first appointment so seeing the baby's heartbeat was the biggest relief.
I had another appointment when I was 11w1d. Grant went with me because I was still nervous something may go wrong. The nurse practitioner came in to find/listen to the baby's heartbeat on doppler and couldn't find it at first. Dr. G then came in and also had trouble finding the heartbeat. He was about to send me for an ultrasound when he finally found it! HUGE sigh of relief. After a drama-free pregnancy with William, this little one is teaching me not all pregnancies are alike. Nonetheless, the heartbeat was perfect for a baby at 11 weeks.
12w5d baby
On Tuesday September 16, I had the routine first trimester screening ultrasound at UAB. Everything came back normal for that which led to these exciting pictures of the soon-to-be BIG Brother...
William and Baby D #2 will be one month shy of 3 years apart.
We are anxiously awaiting an appointment on Friday when we will find WHO (he/she) this little baby is!!!
