The Davis Family: #thadleeinlove

This past weekend, we were in Dallas for Lee and Thad's wedding weekend. It was the best weekend we've had in a while! Great food, quality family time, the big city, and constant entertainment for all :) Granny was so kind to stay at the hotel with us and keep William while we went to various wedding festivities all weekend. We arrived in Dallas Thursday afternoon after a perfect flight for William.

He's a great traveller! The iPad and snacks are the key to a successful flight for the little guy.

Thursday night there was a mens dinner and a ladies dinner. The ladies had dinner at the Flemings' home hosted by Juleann, my mom, and Aunt Lee. It was beautiful and really fun to meet all of Lee's bridesmaids and Thad's family before the chaos of the weekend kicked off!

Cousins!

Cousins and cousin-in-laws :) So thankful to have Katie and Stephanie in our gang! Stephanie (in long hot pink dress) is 20 weeks pregnant. Can't wait for William to have a little cousin friend on my side of the family.

On Friday morning, Granny took me, Grant and William to the Dallas Zoo which was a huge hit for all. It put the Bham zoo to shame!!

We even got to feed the giraffes!

On Friday night, Thad's parents hosted a beautiful rehearsal dinner at Arlington Hall in Dallas. The toasts were all so touching and the most sincere I've ever heard at a rehearsal dinner. It was so special to have all 22 of us from the Torrence/Shaw/Billings/Fleming clan together. Now that we are all older and starting families of our own, we don't get to see each other nearly as much as we did growing up. However, the family dynamics are exactly the same as when I was 10 :) I love our chaotic, intense crew!!!

On Saturday, Greg, Dana and their gang were SO kind to drive over from Waco and spend the afternoon with us. William was so thrilled to see his cousins. He was literally giddy with excitement. We ate Chick-Fil-A at the mall and then came back to the hotel for more fun in the lobby with 4 wild kiddos. William asked to be put to bed after they left. He was worn out!

I had the privilege of reading scripture at the ceremony. I was so honored when Lee asked me. Fortunately, I didn't get too nervous and didn't pull out my trembling/shaky voice.
