Bye Bye 'Bama Bash

Saturday night, we had a big going away party for Virginia and Matt at the Whittington's house. Virginia and Matt are moving to Winston Salem, NC for Virginia to continue on with her residency in Radiology. We are so sad to see them leave Birmingham and hope they decide to make Birmingham HOME when Virginia finishes her training! Ragan's house could not have been more perfect and I think the 'Bama themed party belongs in a magazine. She had some help from her mom, the one and only Lila, and her Mom's good friend "Mrs. Lisa." I've told Ragan many times that she's got her mom's party planning skills in her blood! Her attention to detail and personal style is evident! I'd love to say I had some input with the planning and decorating, but I'll admit that I did not, and I'm very grateful to Ragan and Kyle for their time and energy in making the night so much fun for all! Way to go Kyle, Ragan, Lila, and Mrs. Lisa!!!

The theme was Alabama :) The boiled peanuts came from Ragan's grandfather's farm. I could've eaten that entire bucket myself!

 The Bar
Hostesses with the guest of honor...missing Meg!
I'm practically drooling looking at this divine spread of goodness - desserts made by the one and only Lila Hall Hayes.
Kyle made chef-worthy barbecue that was raved about the entire night. Ragan made slaw, and we got Golden Flake potato chips to keep with the 'Bama theme.

Their back porch is to die for.

I don't think I've ever seen a preggo lady look this good 2 weeks from her due date.
My husband snuck off to catch up on a bball game and cool off for a bit.
It's hard to believe all 9 of us graduated together in 2003 - 10 years ago! I'm very thankful for a great group of Dothan gals in B'ham. Virginia and Matt, we love y'all and are very excited for this next chapter in your lives!
